The position of Sales Representative consists of directing the distribution or movement of products to the customer and generating sales by establishing channels to market including dealers, web platforms, and retail. It also consists of analyzing sales statistics to determine sales potential and inventory requirements and monitor the preferences of customers and consumers. Priority is the overall profitable growth of the company. This industry has a fragmented channel mix and experience selling to small independent retailers as well as ecommerce businesses is required.

Tasks

  • Champion the company’s sales efforts in the interest of profitable growth
  • Work with other sales team members to share best practices and lead the implementation of processes and schedules that improve the Sales function
  • Processing of received orders in a timely manner  
  • Daily outgoing calls to various customers in the interest of building relationships and knowledge, in order to promote sales
  • Field incoming customer sales and service calls
  • Collaborate with marketing to plan go-to-market strategies and promotional activities
  • Confer with potential customers regarding product needs and advise customers on the types of products available
  • Determine price schedules and discount rates
  • Monitor customer preferences to determine the focus of sales efforts
  • Manage dealer network
  • Represent Qco brands with pride and enthusiasm at trade shows
  • Collaborate with office and shipping department to ensure accurate ship dates and on-time delivery
  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales and activity reports as well as quarterly/annual sales forecasts as required
  • Customer service support including resolving customer complaints regarding sales and service
  • Collaborate with the production team on product requirements to support customer demand.

Qualifications and requirements

  • 3+ Years of sales experience in a CPG or similar market, selling to independent retailers
  • College Degree in Business, or similar, preferred
