Position: R&D Consultant – Chocolate Specialty

About You:
You have a passion for creating new products in the snack category and have a history of success in that space. With over a decade of experience working with chocolate, you understand the difference between the flavors that each variety brings. You enjoy innovating and have a flair for working with major US brands to create new products in the natural and organic space.
About the Job:
- Train our large R&D team in both factories in matters related to chocolate and its applications
- Work with our R&D team to handle requests and issues of our US and Canada customers in the chocolate and snack food space. This could involve resolving questions and proposing alternatives. This could also involve handle product development in our Peru based test lab or industrial trial.
- Support regulatory requirements are met in every aspect of Product formulation.
- Liaise with suppliers to obtain ingredient samples, specifications etc.
- Attend industry-centered trade shows to meet with customers and define new product needs when needed.
About the time commitment:
- Three one-week visits per year to our factory in Peru
- For the first time, we are asking for two weeks to understand our company better
- For the rest of the year, we need virtual meetings only to resolve questions which we believe can take up to one hour per week.
- Only when needed, will we coordinate for one-week visit to our factory for urgent industrial trial
