Role Overview
The Vice President of Sales will lead the company’s global revenue strategy across all channels, including B2B (dealers/distributors), direct-to-consumer (e-commerce), and strategic partnerships. This role is responsible for driving sustainable growth, expanding market share, and elevating the company’s position as a leading brand in billiards.
This is a highly strategic and hands-on leadership role that blends traditional sales leadership with modern brand and channel development.
Primary Mandate (Initial 12-24 Months)
- Build a scalable, data-driven revenue engine across all channels
- Accelerate direct-to-consumer (DTC) and business-to-business (B2B) growth and profitability
- Modernize and optimize the dealer and distributor network
- Establish a repeatable go-to-market playbook for product launches
- Expand into prioritized international markets with clear channel strategies
Key Responsibilities
1. Revenue Strategy & Growth
- Own and deliver the company’s sales targets, revenue growth, and margin expansion
- Develop and execute a multi-channel sales strategy across:
- Specialty retailers and pro shops
- National and regional distributors
- E-commerce / DTC channels
- International markets
- Identify and pursue new revenue streams (custom products, limited editions, collaborations)
2. Channel Development
- International growth is a hands-on ‘MUST’ for this person
- Strengthen and modernize the dealer/distributor network
- Build a best-in-class DTC sales engine (conversion, AOV, retention)
- Optimize channel mix to balance brand equity and profitability
3. Brand & Market Expansion
- Partner with Marketing to align sales strategy with brand positioning
- Leverage athlete sponsorships, events, and influencers to drive sell-through
- Identify and enter new geographic markets (Europe, Asia, etc.)
- Support product launches with coordinated go-to-market plans
4. Team Leadership
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing sales organization
- Establish clear KPIs, incentives, and performance management systems
- Foster a culture of accountability, execution, and continuous improvement
5. Key Account Management
- Own relationships with top dealers, distributors, and strategic partners
- Ensure consistent brand representation across all accounts
6. Data & Performance Management
- Implement sales forecasting and pipeline management
- Use data to drive decision-making on pricing, promotions, and inventory
- Monitor market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer behavior
7. M&A and Strategic Initiatives
- Support evaluation and integration of acquisition targets (brands, distributors)
- Identify “bolt-on” opportunities to expand product or channel capabilities
- Drive synergy realization across acquired businesses
Qualifications
Required
- 10–15+ years of progressive sales leadership experience
- Proven success leading multi-channel sales organizations
- Experience scaling revenue in a consumer products or enthusiast category
- Strong track record of building and managing dealer/distributor networks
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive accountability
Preferred
- Experience in sporting goods, golf, outdoor, or adjacent enthusiast categories
- Familiarity with premium/luxury brand positioning
- International sales experience
- Exposure to private equity-backed environments or high-growth companies
