** THIS POSITION IS BASED IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA**
We are seeking a Sales Manager to oversee the development and execution of sales
and trade marketing strategies across North America various retail channels (distributor,
grocery, convenience stores, online, etc.) and to drive brand visibility and maximize revenue.
The role requires a deep understanding of the snack food industry, consumer trends,
and the competitive landscape in North America. This position will collaborate with
cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, supply chain and
finance teams both in our Chino Hill office and Singapore HQ, to ensure the company’s
sales objectives are met.
Sales Strategy and Execution
● Develop and implement sales strategies to grow market share within the snack
food category.
● Achieve sales targets by identifying opportunities for growth in existing and
new accounts.
● Manage and build strong relationships with key retail partners, distributors, and
wholesalers.
● Track sales performance and provide reports to upper management on
progress and market trends.
● Effectively manage trade spending, deductions, and credit management by
working closely with finance
● Management of Monthly Demand Forecast & work closely with Supply Chain
for adjustment with promotional requirement, new item distribution and
other market dynamics that will impact supply planning
● Ensure high stock availability across online and offline channels.
● Collaborate with distributor / retail partners to develop channel-specific sales &
marketing programs and initiatives to drive product visibility and demand i.e.
demos, end cap, display placements.
Trade Marketing
● Plan and execute trade marketing initiatives, including in-store promotions,
merchandising, displays, and point-of-sale materials.
● Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure brand consistency and to
develop targeted promotions based on market data and consumer insights.
● Analyze trade marketing effectiveness through sales data, feedback from
retailers, and customer behavior trends.
● Manage trade marketing budget, ensuring all activities are cost-effective and
aligned with business goals.
● Plan and manage products’ mix for all distributors / retailers to ensure 4Ps are
optimized – products, price, place, promotion.
● Coordinate timely with Singapore HQ and partners for new product launches;
work with the marketing team for new product go to market strategy.
Market Research and Analysis
● Conduct market research to identify opportunities, competitor activities, and
industry trends within the snack food market.
● Leverage insights to optimize sales and promotional strategies.
● Monitor pricing trends and recommend pricing strategies to remain competitive
while maximizing profitability.
Customer Relationship Management
● Establish and maintain long-term partnerships with key accounts (retailers,
distributors).
● Negotiate contracts, promotional agreements, and product placement with
retail partners.
Our Dream Candidate
● Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
● 5+ years of experience in sales and trade marketing, preferably within the
snack or FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) industry.
● Strong understanding of the North America retail market, including grocery,
convenience, and online channels.
● Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing trade marketing
campaigns.
● Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
● Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales and marketing data.
● Proficiency in using Google Workspace or Microsoft Office Suite.
● Ability to travel within North America as required.
● Ability to converse in Mandarin is an advantage, as it will aid in communicating
with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
