We are working with one of our CPG clients who is searching for a motivated and professional Warehouse Manager. The Warehouse Manager will oversee internal warehousing and inventory as well as day-to-day shipping and receiving. These responsibilities include providing direction and leadership to our warehouse team, conducting routine cycle counts and scheduling all inbound and outbound shipments, with a special effort toward on time deliveries.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise warehouse and shipping and receiving workforce, including directing associates to pick and stage work orders and sales orders.
- Create and implement best practice shipping and receiving processes and workflows, ensuring adherence to all customer shipping requirements to avoid chargebacks and returns.
- Establish and track warehouse related KPIs
- Responsible for performing cycle counts and overall inventory warehouse management.
- Oversee and process returns, and resolve issues related to incorrect or unsatisfactory shipments.
- Coordinate and trace all internal movements for inventory and capacity control
- Inspect material handling equipment for defects and notify maintenance personnel
- Record and report all past due shipments to leadership
- Coordinate required safety and quality training for warehouse employees
- Assist the human resources team in department related recruiting and hiring, as well as the implementation of policies and strategies to improve staff productivity and efficiency
Education and/or Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s level degree
- 3+ years field warehouse operations experience
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Experience outfitting and managing a team
- Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Comfort using inventory and transportation management software
- ERP system exposure and RF scanning
- Familiarity with bookkeeping and inventory control best practices
- Food manufacturing industry experience preferred
